Common questions

The questions families ask first

Is this real?

Yes. InnovateCredits is a cooperative being chartered in Washington D.C. that lets brands donate grocery value directly to EBT/SNAP families at the register. The first program is rolling out with named retailers over the coming months.

Will it cost me anything?

No. There is no signup fee, no credit check, no monthly cost, and no app you have to use. Your normal EBT card works at the register.

Do I need to sign up?

Not to use it. When you swipe your EBT card at a participating store, the system automatically applies any brand-funded credits available on items in your basket before drawing from your SNAP balance. If you want a heads-up when this is live near you, add your ZIP below.

Where will it work?

It is launching with a small set of national retailers first. The list will grow each quarter. Add your ZIP and we will email you the day a participating store opens within ~10 miles of you.

When does it start?

First retailer launches are planned for late 2026. The cooperative is finalizing its charter and brand-donation partnerships now.

What is the catch?

There is none for the family using it. Brands pay for it because they get a clean tax deduction. Stores accept it because they are paid the full retail price. Taxpayers save because the brand-funded portion of a basket reduces the SNAP draw dollar-for-dollar. Everyone wins; no one loses.
